CULPEPER COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER

The Culpeper County Animal Shelter is run by the Culpeper County Government and is a separate entity from the Culpeper Humane Society.  Animal Services mission and vision is to provide the citizen's of Culpeper County with efficient and effective animal control and shelter services to educate the citizens of Culpeper County about the dangers of rabies, current animal laws, and proper animal care.    The Department of Animal Services is responsible for public safety relating to animals, enforcement of state and local animal laws and ordinances, animal welfare and protection, animal control for the County, and humane management of the County-owned Animal Shelter. The department is also responsible for providing the citizens of the County with information and education concerning animal laws, animal care, animal population control, and rabies control.  Click here to see our adoptable pets!    

Adoption fees are: $95.00 for cats and $150.00 for dogs (includes spay/neutering, testing, and vaccinations) $25.00 for cats and $45.00 for dogs if already spayed/neutered (includes testing and vaccinations) 

Culpeper County Spay/Neuter Program

Give the shelter a call to schedule your pet for our discount spay and neutering clinic.  They have them three or four times a month, but they fill up fast. Call the shelter, (540) 547-4477, for more information.  

CHS has partnered with St. Seton’s Orphaned Animals to provide local residents a full service, low cost, Spay and Neuter Clinic -  http://www.saintseton.com/the-neuter-scooter
